Back by popular demand! A one-day writing workshop with Creative Future gold prize winner @mcporterwriter in Lewes (10-4). This session takes inspiration from Gothic literature. From Victorian classics to magical realism, from American Gothic to the dark side of nature writing and folklore, we will examine the literary techniques of the genre. From creating mood and tone to the art of suspense, we will use prompts and exercises to enrich your writing and explore new ideas.

You can expect a morning of writing prompts and exercises, followed by a generous vegetarian or vegan lunch, accompanied by more cake for dessert. The afternoon session is dedicated to your own project and does not have to be Gothic fiction. You will then have the opportunity to share your work with the group for constructive feedback.

£80: Personal feedback on prose of up to 2000 words.

Love writing but need that extra structure and motivation? Join me for an eight-week writing course this Autumn for the chance to develop your ideas in a supportive and creative space.
Expect a mixture of guided exercises, literary theory and feedback on ongoing projects.
Sessions will be held in the Quaker Meeting House Lewes.
